Ballet West returns for Season 2 of the documentary series Breaking Pointe (8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30). And there's a new villain on the loose.

I like this show. A lot. For one thing, it's fascinating to see how tough and dedicated the dancers are. It's so not easy to create ballet performances.

For another, it's good soap opera. The dancers might not like that description, but their personal lives are on display. And some of them are more dramatic than others.

Did I mention there's a new villain on the loose?
