I have proudly displayed an American flag in my front yard for approximately 15 years. Much to my surprise, it was gone this morning when I went out to get my morning Tribune (yes, I love holding a newspaper and reading it page by page).
The person or persons who took the flag had to have had a very sharp tool to cut through the thick zip ties that held it on the pole. I'm guessing that whoever took it must have needed one immediately. I would have bought one for them.
You see, this particular flag was given to me by a dear friend who passed away last year, a proud American who had served in World War II.
