A motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday in a crash on Interstate 84 in Box Elder County.

The crash occurred about 3:25 p.m. while the driver was exiting the freeway via an eastbound off-ramp near Tremonton, the Utah Highway Patrol reported. The driver, 66, drifted into the left shoulder and apparently tried to correct and lost control.

The driver, who is from Gearhart, Ore., suffered injuries to his torso and leg, troopers wrote in a press statement. The man was wearing a helmet, and he was able to talk to responding officers, troopers wrote.
