Cedar City is the place to be this summer for guitarists when the first annual Southern Utah Guitar Convention commences Friday and Saturday, August 16 and 17.

Produced by Tyson Cazier, Southern Utah University's Department of Music guitar instructor, this two-day event will include two guitar concerts and a series of master classes, clinics and workshops geared toward improving technique and developing your skills.

The classes and concerts will feature guitarists as Corey Christiansen and McKay Tebbs as well as Cazier.

Most of the events will held in the Thorley Recital Hall in the SUU Music Building.
