A Taylorsville man was stabbed early Saturday after he allegedly got into a fight with several teenagers at a party.
Police say a 17-year-old boy stabbed the 39-year-old man outside the man's home at 4384 S. 1265 West. The man had been hosting a party, according to Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal, and followed four teenagers outside where a confrontation ensued. Hoyal described the weapon used in the stabbing as a pocket knife.
Police arrived about 5:30 a.m. and the man was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Hoyal said the man remained in critical condition at midday Saturday, although his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening. Investigators were unable to interview the victim Saturday.
