The consulting engineering firm Psomas has announced that its Utah Regional Manager Leslie Morton has been named the new president of the Utah chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies. Morton, a vice president at Psomas, has nearly 20 years of experience as a civil engineer.

The Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, a professional non-profit organization, has announced the appointment of Susan A. Speirs, as its chief executive. Speirs is a current board member and former president of the UACPA.

Jeffrey L. Eakin, a board-certified general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive gastrointestinal, bariatric and robotic surgery, has joined Specialty Surgery of Utah located at Pioneer Valley Hospital. The practice is a member of Physician Group of Utah. Eakin earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

York Howell in Salt Lake City has announced the addition of Kamron Keele as a partner in the law firm. His practice will focus on tax, corporate, employment, family, and elder law and real estate matters. Keele is a former partner at Callister Nebeker and McCullough and has practiced law in New York and clerked at the U.S. Tax Court in Washington D.C.

CarbonX has announced that Tom Kasper has been named vice president of sales for the manufacturer of non-flammable fabrics and apparel based in Salt Lake City.

Attorneys Jason Krause and Paul T. Moxley have joined the law office of Durham Jones & Pinegar in the firm's Salt Lake City office. Moxley, who has joined the firm as a shareholder, has practiced law in Utah for 40 years and focuses on complex commercial and contract litigation, securities, fraud, product liability and white collar crime matters. Krause has joined the firm as an associate attorney after practicing law for nearly a decade in New York City, most recently with the law offices of Boies, Schiller & Flexner. Krause's practice deals mainly in corporate/transactional law and corporate litigation.

Salt Lake Behavioral Health has announced that Brian Harlan has joined the organization as a geriatric psychiatrist. Harlan has worked in the psychiatric field for the past 10 years.

DropShip Commerce, a Salt Lake City-based provider of supply chain management services, has announced the appointment of Scott Lemon as vice president of technology. Lemon will oversee DropShip's software as a service-based platform to help retailers and manufacturers be more responsive to consumer demand.

Primary Residential Mortgage Inc., a Salt Lake City-based residential mortgage lender, has named Brandi Hume vice president of quality assurance and James Slagowski as its new senior vice president of compliance systems management.

U.S. Bank has promoted Stephanie Ransdell to branch manager. She works at the U.S. Bank office in North Salt Lake. Ransdell has been with U.S. Bank since 2007. U.S. Bank also has promoted Steven Phillips to branch manager. He works at the U.S. Bank office in Roy. He has been with U.S. Bank since 2011. J.R. Feland has been promoted to district manager of the bank's Salt Lake South retail banking team. A Utah native, he has been with U.S. Bank since 2006, most recently as a branch manager in Sandy and Midvale.

Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Center of Excellence in Salt Lake City announced that Dana Alcorn has been named its new executive director. Before coming to Garden Terrace, Alcorn served as administrator for Shoal Creek Rehabilitation Center in Crestview, Fla., for seven and a half years.
