Bees cruise to victory over Aces

Andy Marte went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a home run to propel the Salt Lake Bees to a 9-1 Pacific Coast League victory over the Reno Aces on Sunday in Reno, Nev.

Matt Lake also collected three hits for the Bees.

Three Salt Lake pitcher combined on a five-hitter. Starter Matt Shoemaker picked up the victory, striking out five in seven innings, to improve his season record to 11-13.

Raptors 8, Mustangs 3 • Joey Curletta hit two home runs, including a two-run shot in a five-run fourth inning, to lead Ogden to a Pioneer League victory at Billings.

Osprey 12, Owlz 5 • Orem lost at home after giving up 20 hits to Missoula.
