Real Salt Lake veterans Nick Rimando and Kyle Beckerman have been called up to the U.S. men's national team.

The goalkeeper and the midfielder were among 23 players named Thursday to the American roster by coach Jurgen Klinsmann. Beckerman and Rimando will leave Utah following Friday night's game against the Portland Timbers. The U.S. plays Costa Rica on Sept. 6 and Mexico on Sept. 10. With RSL off next week, neither player will miss any league games before Salt Lake resumes play Sept. 13 in Seattle.

Beckerman and Rimando both featured heavily for the U.S. in its run to the Gold Cup title in July.
