War was not a success

The Aug. 29 Salt Lake Tribune was interesting. On Page 2, below the News Roundup, was the following headline: "Baghdad bomb attacks kill 80 in Shiite districts."

Over the past months this seems to be the preferred place for news of Mideast bombings. It is as if the continued disasters in Iraq have been relegated to a less-visible part of the newspaper so we remain under the belief that the war was a success.

This is hardly the case.
