Bush and Obama

Our previous president was an inarticulate, belligerent, swaggering warmonger who relied on dishonesty and fear to get Congress to support his illegal war of aggression in Iraq. Our current president is articulate, educated in the law and was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in anticipation of his efforts to rid the world of nuclear weapons. Like his predecessor, he, too, is justifying going to war with the noblest of intentions.

Cosmetic and superficial differences aside, what is remarkably similar between Bush and Obama is their contempt for international law. While this means little to many Americans, the president has a legal obligation to seek U.N. approval before launching an attack against a country for reasons other than self-defense or treaty obligations.

The criminality of both administrations and their accomplices in Congress is stunning.
