Pleasant Grove has lifted a boil order for residents who have had discolored water flowing from their taps.

Residents living east of the Murdock canal between Grove Creek Drive (500 North) and the Lindon boundary (1000 South) no longer need to boil their water. Water samples have tested clean, and the water is safe to drink, officials said.

"If residents still have discoloration, it is recommended that they run their bathtub until the water returns to a normal color," officials said in a statement.

The water tank that dispersed the discolored water is being cleaned, and until that process is complete, water from other Pleasant Grove wells and springs will feed the entire city, officials said.

Residents who continue to have problems with water are urged to contact Pleasant Grove Public Works at 801-785-2941.
