Spotlight Show • The hard-rocking Andrew W.K. is known for his party songs. But soon he also will be known for eliminating the barrier between him and his audience. In a phone interview, the 34-year-old said there will be no stage at his upcoming show. "I really want to be clear this is not a concert. The whole room is a party," he said. "The audience members are the band. I wanted that closeness. We tried to pick places that are very intimate. I wanted an energy pool." Playing and singing in the middle of a crowd is a way to show others that "there's all different ways to play," he said. "I want to do something that makes me happy, and hopefully others can do it too," he said. "All I care about is partying." Well said.
