Director Kevin Carter and the other members of the School and Institutional Trust Lands have decided to lease for oil exploration and drilling most of the Book Cliffs block of land, including the 18,000-acre Bogart Unit, which includes Bogart Canyon, to the energy company Andarko.

I guess this is why we don't want those evil people at the federal level managing our public lands. If they managed the Book Cliffs, we would not be able to sell oil leases on a currently roadless area that is full of wildlife and therefore can be ruined.

What a sad way to make a buck for our schools.
