Pay a fair share

I am pleasantly amazed and deeply grateful to Sen. Pat Jones for once again trying to address the way tax exemptions per child are applied and how that directly and negatively impacts education funding ("Should Utah nix personal tax exemption to fund education?" Tribune, Sept. 12).

Those who use the resources the most pay the least based on the current formula. We all should pay our fair and equitable share of the education funding.

My wife and I have been following and supporting Pat as she has been pursuing this for a decade or more. With redistricting, Pat is now our senator and we couldn't be more pleased. Keep it up, Pat!
