Kudos to Norma Matheson and former Gov. Mike Leavitt for co-chairing the Count My Vote initiative. Every day brings more news about how ill-served Utah has been by its caucus system.

Following a jerry-rigged caucus, the last election brought us one of the major buffoons in the Senate when polls prior to the caucus showed that 60 percent of Utah voters wanted Sen. Bob Bennett re-elected. Now this buffoon is one of the leaders in threatening to shut down the government.

Norma and Mike, we desperately need a primary system.
