BYU running back Jamaal Williams spoke publicly for the first time on Monday about the concussion he suffered against Utah and what ran through his mind as he was carted off the field.

He said he was more concerned with how his mother was handling the injury than his own condition.

Williams spent the night in a local hospital after the injury but was released the following day. He missed the Cougars' 37-10 win over Middle Tennessee State, but returned for the USU game last week.
