The Logan Police want the public's help identifying a suspected opportunistic thief.

A car dealership at 95 W. 400 North had a large amount of money left out in a container Tuesday, meaning to buy a car from someone with it, said Logan City Police Assistant Chief Jeff Curtis. But that morning, a male in a green T-shirt walked into the dealership and took the money, according to the police.

Logan police were alerted to theft at 9:55 a.m.

Police are not disclosing how much money he allegedly made off with.

A surveillance camera at the business caught a fairly clear picture of him. He's a stranger to the employees, so the police could use help identifying him. If anyone has information about him, contact Detective Robert Olson at 435-716-9300.
