Authorities said a baby remained in critical condition Sunday, a day after he was found in a ditch in Morgan.

A relative realized the 1-year-old boy was missing and discovered him in an irrigation ditch that runs near the home on Stoddard Lane in Weber Canyon about 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Although the ditch did not contain much water, the baby was unconscious when pulled out.

A helicopter flew the baby to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City.

It was unclear how long the baby had been missing before he was discovered.

Investigation into the incident is continuing.
