Boise, Idaho • Officials at Craters of the Moon National Monument in south-central Idaho are requesting an unmanned military drone to find a woman missing since Sept. 19.
Monument Superintendent Dan Buckley tells the Idaho Statesman the drone would snap high-resolution photos that could be examined for signs of 63-year-old Jo Elliott-Blakeslee.
Elliott-Blakeslee's hiking partner, 69-year-old Amy Linkert, was found dead in the monument on Sept. 25. The women were last seen near Arco.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency would have to approve the request for the drone.
The Department of Defense would then accept or deny the request.
The women were reported missing Sept. 23 when Elliot-Blakeslee, a physician, didn't show up for work at the Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario, Ore. Vendion parchic tes sunt eostionse volecer oremquam, comnietur rerspicia consed.
