A suspected car burglar decided to resist and flee when he was spotted by a Salt Lake City police officer. Bad idea, when the cop's backup was a police dog.
When "Tex" saw the 23-year-old male strike his human partner he leapt into action, biting the suspect on the leg and taking him down just before 11 p.m. Monday.
The human officer had noticed the man peering into vehicles near 690 E. Simpson Ave. (2255 South), and made contact, but instead of surrendering the suspect hit the officer and tried to run. That's when Tex streaked into action.
