The Depot will be experiencing a Power surge later this month.

Singer-songwriter Chan Marshall, who performs under the name Cat Power, will be playing "an intimate seated performance" on Monday, Nov. 25, at 9 p.m. at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City.

Power's music has been evolving since she began, mixing punk and folk at first, adding soul and blues — and in her 2012 album "Sun," which she wrote, performed, produced and recorded herself, a dose of electronic music.

Nico Turner is the opening act.

Seating is limited. Tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m. at Smith's Tix, for $30 in advance, or $35 on the day of the show.
