The Utah Department of Transportation advised motorists to use alternate routes between 4600 and 4800 South on Harrison Boulevard in Ogden after a company making repairs on a water line cut a natural gas line early Saturday morning. The stretch was closed until about 1 p.m. Saturday, at which point officials opened up one lane in both directions.

The Ogden Fire Department tweeted earlier Saturday that Questar was on the scene of the leak, and that no residents were affected by the leak because it was in a commercial area.

Crews cut a large trench in the road to repair the gas line, and much of the closure time was spent filling the trench.
