A small fire at the Holly Frontier Refinery was contained Monday afternoon and poses no threat.

An internal fire was reported at the West Bountiful refinery, located near 1070 W. 500 South, about 2:40 p.m. Monday.

The on-site fire brigade contained the flames, which are not threatening "local work or neighborhoods," according to a tweet from the South Davis Metro Fire Department.

The fire originated from a leak from a small pipe, West Bountiful Police Chief Todd Hixson tweeted. The fire will burn until the line depressurizes, he added.
