The Cricket's Daily 3: Coens' 'Inside' wins Gotham Award

Here's what's being talked about in pop culture:

• The first movie awards of the season, the Gotham Awards, were handed out last night. The Coen brothers' "Inside Llewyn Davis" took best picture, while Matthew McConaughey ("Dallas Buyers Club") and Brie Larson ("Short Term 12") took top acting honors. [Los Angeles Times]

• Chinese artist and dissident Ai Weiwei is planning to stage an art show in the old Alcatraz prison next September. [The New York Times]
