A man died in the first hours of New Year's Day after crashing into a parked semitrailer in Draper.

About 2:04 a.m., the 54-year-old man crashed into the vacant trailer near 11500 S. 700 East, according to a Draper police news release. He was alone in the car and died at the scene.
