A police organization is raising money for the family of a single mom who died Wednesday in Provo in a hit-and-run accident.

Rosa Merino died after a pickup truck hit her about 6:20 a.m. in the intersection of 700 N. University Avenue. Merino left behind three daughters, ages 17, 14 and 12.

Thursday, the Provo Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 23 has opened up an account to benefit Merino's family at Wells Fargo. Donations can be accepted at any Wells Fargo location and can be made to "the threee Molina girls."
