Re Xeena Arcia's Public Forum letter in the Salt Lake Tribune Jan. 29, "Americans are losing ability to communicate well":
I congratulate her/him on the letter. I am not a sanctimonious person, but I would like to see a movie without all those vulgar words.
I had a junior high school principal who said a person who uses profanity has a very limited vocabulary. None of my friends talks like that, and I have friends from all walks of life. What is most irritating is to be in a "captive" audience and the speaker uses vulgar language. There have been some movies I have walked out on because I don't want to sit there and be "abused."
There I've said it, and call me narrow-minded but I am sick of the language I hear in movies and, yes, also on TV.
