The Utah Grizzlies lost their first game in regulation in three weeks, 3-1, Wednesday night to the Idaho Steelheads in Boise.

The Grizzlies, who hadn't lost in eight straight and had won five straight overall, fell into an 0-2 hole after only attempting nine shots through two periods.

Utah (20-17-3-4) got on the board with 9:12 to play on a power-play goal by Kris Hogg. The Grizzlies thought they tied it up with less than three minutes to play, but the goal was nullified by an offside call.

The Steelheads then tacked on an empty-net goal with 23 seconds to go.
