Starting today, The Salt Lake Tribune is making it easier than ever to participate in Trib Talk, a live video chat with Utah newsmakers that takes place each weekday at 12:15 p.m. on sltrib.com.

Jennifer Napier-Pearce moderates the chat Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, while Brennan J. Smith moderates a sports-oriented chat on Wednesday.

Trib Talk has a new blog and a new Facebook page where you can access the program, ask questions or otherwise join the discussion, either while the chat is underway or before or after.

In addition, you now also may text questions or comments to Napier-Pearce or Smith using the number (801) 609-8059.

Sending questions or comments using the hashtag #TribTalk on Twitter or Google Plus remains an option for participating in the chat, or you may simply add them to the comments section below the sltrib.com story into which the video has been embedded.

If you're unable to watch and participate in Trib Talk live, you may watch an archived version on The Tribune's YouTube channel, the new blog or the Facebook page.

The program also is available to download as a podcast you may listen to at your convenience.

Meanwhile, if there's a newsmaker you'd like to see on Trib Talk or a topic you'd like to see addressed, send Napier-Pearce an email at jnpearce@sltrib.com or reach her on Twitter: @jnpearce.

Send Sports Trib Talk-related suggestions to bsmith@sltrib.com or on Twitter: @brennanjsmith.
