Wednesday on TV: 'Survivor' is all wet (and sort of wild)

Survivor (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2) got off to a strong start last week because human nature is so hard to overcome.

The twist this season is that there are three tribes — Brains, Brawn and Beauty. And the Brains tribe proved just how dumb smart people can be, which is why both contestants who were eliminated in the two-hour premiere were alleged Brains.

This week, we see how tough it can be on this shows as the unending rains make it miserable for everyone. Except the viewers.

Modern Family (8 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Jay and Gloria babysit Lily.

Law & Order: SVU (8 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): A high school football star is missing.

The Tomorrow People (8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Julian is captured by Ultra.

Men's college basketball: Wyoming at Utah State (8:05 p.m., ROOT); Utah at California (9 p.m., ESPNU)

Men at Work (8 and 10 p.m., TBS): Tyler offers to help Milo out with expenses, and Milo doesn't react well.

Mixology (8:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Ron has instant chemistry with Liv.

CSI (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): An Elvis impersonator is murdered … and the list of suspects is endless.

Nashville (9 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Rayna's new label is struggling.

Chicago PD (9 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Ruzek helps Burgess get retribution.

Psych (10 p.m., USA): The owner of Shawn and Gus' favorite food truck is murdered.

Duck Dynasty (11 p.m., A&E): A playhouse comes out looking like a duck blind.

The Americans (11 p.m., FX): Philip investigates the fallout from the last operation.
