If you listen carefully, you just may hear spring yawning toward seasonal resurrection this weekend along the Wasatch Front.

After a mild storm system abates early Saturday, scattered rain showers and cloudy skies should clear by afternoon and high temperatures will rise into the mid- to upper-50s after overnight lows in the upper-30s.

If spring was blinking awake at the sunlight in northern Utah, it was looking for a climatic cup of coffee in southern Utah where high temperatures on Saturday were expected to climb into the 70s. Partly cloudy skies will usher in the weekend but give way to clear horizons by Saturday night.

Indeed, the Utah Division of Air Quality hoisted its "green," or healthy air quality banners statewide for the weekend.
