Salt Lake City firefighters who responded to a house fire in Rose Park on Monday had it under control within 15 minutes, according to fire officials.

Crews responded at 2:38 p.m. to a report of heavy smoke filling the basement of a home at 1232 W. 500 South, according to a tweet from the department.

A later tweet said the fire was contained to the basement.
