My friends and I are appalled by the treatment of the Tribune by the newspaper's owners. We cannot understand how they can divide resources so unfairly between the paper and the Deseret News. We can only hope that the Department of Justice will rule in favor of the Tribune. If the unhappy day came when the Tribune ceased publishing, not one of us would read the Deseret News. We would subscribe to an out-of-state paper.

We hope sincerely that another company will purchase The Salt Lake Tribune and restore it to what it was before the numerous cuts.
