A 26-year-old man was tased by Salt Lake City police Monday after he was found allegedly intoxicated, sitting on someone's porch without permission.
According to Salt Lake City police, officers responded to 2246 S. 900 East just before midnight on Monday on reports that the homeowner had an unwelcome guest sitting on his front porch.
An officer arrived and ordered the 26-year-old man to get on the ground, but the man would not respond or comply with the officer's order. Police say that once the man replied "No," to the officer's commands and took "a fighting posture," the officer deployed his taser.
He was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of public intoxication, trespassing and resisting arrest.
