The Cricket's Daily 3: A tougher title for 'The Hobbit'

Here's what's being talked about in pop culture:

• The third installment of Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" trilogy has a new name: "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," which sounds more action-packed than the old title, "The Hobbit: There and Back Again." [Vulture]

• "Late Night" host Seth Meyers will emcee the Emmys this year. [Entertainment Weekly]

• Sir Paul McCartney will perform what's billed as the final concert at San Francisco's Candlestick Park. It's also where The Beatles performed their last paid concert, in 1966. [The Hollywood Reporter]
