• New York-based indie band We Are Scientists performs at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Opening act: PAWS. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $15, at 24Tix.

• Canadian metal band Anvil, the subject of the documentary "Anvil! The Story of Anvil," performs at Burt's Tiki Lounge, 726 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $18, at Smith's Tix.

• All-female indie-rock band Warpaint performs at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening act: James Supercave. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $15, available at 24Tix.
