After a week of wet, windy weather, Utahns can look forward to sunny skies and warmer temperatures this week.

Though Tuesday morning started off chilly and with a hard freeze warning, the National Weather Service predicts that the high temperatures will continue to climb throughout the week and could reach over 80 degrees by the weekend.

The high temperature in northern Utah on Tuesday will only reach about 53 degrees, the weather service reports, but will likely climb to 60 degrees on Wednesday, 67 degrees on Thursday and 75 degrees on Friday.

Residents farther south will experience a similar weather pattern, though western Utah and Cache Valley can expect conditions for another hard freeze Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

In Cedar City, the high temperatures are expected to reach 56 degrees Tuesday, 62 degrees by Wednesday, 68 degrees on Thursday and 74 degrees on Friday.

In St. George, temperatures will be much warmer. The high temperature is expected to reach 73 degrees Tuesday, 78 degrees on Wednesday, 83 degrees on Thursday and 89 degrees on Friday.
