Letter: Memorial for turkeys is beyond belief

The article in Thursday's Tribune entitled "PETA asks Utah for roadside memorial for turkey deaths" is beyond belief. The sign would read "In memory of the hundreds of terrified turkeys who died here in a truck crash."

What an insult to the Utah Highway Patrol troopers killed in the line of duty. The real turkeys were the ones trying to take down their memorial crosses along our freeways.

I like turkey meat, but this is a slap in the face to the real heroes.
