Layton finally lost a baseball game in Region 1 after winning 17 straight.

Davis pitcher Conner Blaisdell went the distance in leading the Darts to a 9-1 victory over Layton last Friday.

The Lancers still lead the Darts by four games in league play and should be among the favorites to win the 5A baseball title when that tournament begins next week.
