• A new live-action "Power Rangers" movie is coming, after Lionsgate and Saban Entertainment signed a deal. [The Huffington Post]

• Emma Stone will appear in her second Woody Allen movie. [Variety]

• Texas killer Bernie Tiede has been granted an early release from prison, after serving 17 years for the shooting death of Marjorie Nugent. One condition of his release: He must live in the garage apartment of filmmaker Richard Linklater, who directed the movie — "Bernie," starring Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey and Shirley MacLaine — about Tiede's case.
