Even as Congress criticizes VA Secretary Eric Shinseki and investigates deadly delays at some VA hospitals, there are signs that veterans health care is slowly improving. Surveys show veterans are satisfied with VA medical care once they are admitted and the military is becoming more attuned to the medical needs of female veterans as a new maternity unit at the Wahlen Medical Center shows. 

On Wednesday at 12:15 p.m., former Utah veteran's affairs director Terry Schow and Tribune military reporter Nate Carlisle join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to talk about the progress being made for Utah veterans and what's left to do.
