Even as Congress criticizes VA Secretary Eric Shinseki and investigates deadly delays at some VA hospitals, there are signs that veterans health care is slowly improving. Surveys show veterans are satisfied with VA medical care once they are admitted and the military is becoming more attuned to the medical needs of female veterans as a new maternity unit at the Wahlen Medical Center shows.
