Comedian Robin Williams could best sum up Utah's week-ending forecast: "Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's party!"
It's impossible to argue with that sentiment. Northern Utahns looked for high temperatures Friday around 80 degrees under blue skies adorned with the kinds of clouds made for daydreaming. That was a forecast a few degrees warmer than that for Thursday, another balmy spring day for the Wasatch Front.
It felt more like full summer in southern Utah, though. High temperatures Friday for Utah's Dixie were predicted to reach well into the 90s, a couple degrees hotter than readings forecast for Thursday.
The Utah Division of Air Quality noted diminished air quality with the Wasatch Front and southwestern Utah all in the "yellow," or compromised range. Only Cache and Tooele counties remained "green," or healthy in Friday's predictions.
The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website's pollen index was "low" for all allergens.
