USU's Cole Lambourne won the 400 with a personal best time of 46.71.
New Mexico won the team championship with 185 points, followed by Colorado State (156) and Utah State (127).
BYU's Justin Keiley finished in a tie for 15th place at the Auburn (Ala.) Regional, and the Cougars finished in seventh place as a team, falling short of the NCAA tournament by two strokes. Keiley scored 2-over-par 218 at the Auburn University Club.
Austin Peay State's Marco Iten was the individual medalist at 8-under 208.
Alabama (853) won the team title. Texas (884) placed fifth to earn the final qualifying spot, two shots ahead of BYU.
BYU 6, Portland 1 • In Portland, Ore., Dillon Robinson hit a three-run homer as BYU (22-31, 12-15 West Coast Conference) wrapped up its season by completing a three-game sweep of the Pilots.
BYU starter Desmond Poulson (5-5) earned the win, holding Portland to one run on six hits over 62/3 innings.
Albany 4, Utah Valley 3 • In Eugene, Ore., Brittney Vansway and Brianna Gatlin hit home runs for Utah Valley, but the Wolverines' season ended with the loss in the NCAA regional.
Long Beach State 9, Southern Utah 6 • In Los Angeles, Kadi Henderson hit a three-run homer to tie SUU's career HR record with 32, but the Thunderbirds' season ended with the loss.
