It has been a busy day for the Aggies' football program with Bojay Filimoeatu signing a free agent contract with Oakland and Quinton Byrd signing with Kansas City. The Aggies also announced Jason Thomas, who has worked in the Aggies' Student-Athlete Academic Services for the past several years, has been named Director of Football Operations for Wisconsin. Of the news, Filimoeatu's might be the most interesting given the twists to his career of late. The 6-foot-1, 258-pound Filimoeatu spent the last year recovering from a knee injury he suffered during the week of the Casino Del Sol College All-Star game in January of 2013. The West Valley native started all 13 games as a senior in 2012 and finished ranked sixth on the team with 71 tackles and was third with five sacks. He finished his two-year career with 112 tackles (48 solo, 64 assist) and eight sacks and seemed headed for big things before suffering the injury. Undeterred, he worked hard to rehab his knee and was one of the standouts at Utah State's pro day where he ran a 4.6 in the 40 and had 33 reps in the bench press.
