Alcohol and failure to use seatbelts are suspected as factors in a double fatal crash in Millard County late Sunday night.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce identified the victims as Melvin Bryant, 32, and Murphy Mountain, 39, both of Page, Ariz.

About 11:40 p.m. Sunday UHP was notified of a report of an alleged drunk driver traveling on northbound Interstate 15 near Cove Fort.

About 15 minutes later, troopers learned that the same driver had crashed and rolled repeatedly near mile post 134, which is 24 miles north of Beaver.

UHP said that both men were ejected as their GMC pickup truck rolled. Bryant was dead at the scene, while Mountain was taken by ambulance first to a hospital in Fillmore and then by helicopter to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, where he later died.
