Plans for tonight: Milk Carton Kids brings the folk

• Indie-rock singer-songwriter Kurt Travis performs at The Shred Shed, 60 E. Exchange Place (360 South), Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Andrew Wells, Red Bennies. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $10, at 24Tix.

• Rapper Pigeon John performs at The Loading Dock, 445 S. 400 West, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Grayskul, Rafael Vigilantics, Broken Silence, Babbylon, Arhythmatik. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $10, at Ticketfly.

• Indie folk duo The Milk Carton Kids will perform at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening act: Tom Brosseau. Show starts at 8. The show is sold out.
