A Roosevelt woman had bailed out of the Duchesne County jail as of Wednesday, the day after she allegedly ended an argument with her husband with gunfire.

The Duchesne County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the 53-year-old woman was arrested by deputies and Roosevelt police about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home in the Hancock Cove neighborhood.

Deputies said she and her husband had argued and the woman got a handgun. The couple then struggled for the firearm and it discharged, striking the man in the right calf, investigators say.

He was treated at Uintah Basin Medical Center and released.

The suspect was booked on suspicion of aggravated assault and released after posting $10,000 bail, jail records showed.
