Ham is on a track to be named the lead assistant for the Hawks. That means the Jazz would likely have to name Ham associate head coach in order to pry him away from Atlanta. Snyder would have no problem with that, a source said, but also said the Hawks would be hesitant to let him go.
In addition to Ham, Jensen and Jones, The Tribune has learned that Snyder also has talked to current Los Angeles Clippers assistant Howard Eisley who, of course, backed up John Stockton on Utah's NBA finals teams in 1997-98.
Taylor Jenkins who coached with Snyder in Atlanta last season is another candidate. And like Snyder, Jenkins is a former head coach with the Austin Toros, which makes him another limb on the San Antonio Spurs' coaching tree. Jenkins' involvement with the Spurs goes back to 2007, when he was an intern with the organization.
