An Arizona woman was killed Friday in a Juab County crash.

Evangelina Corral, 55, died after her Chevrolet Trailblazer's tire blew near mile marker 240 on southbound Interstate 15. The Trailblazer began to swerve back and forth and went off the road, rolling several times, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Corral, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the hospital, according to UHP.

Her daughters Roxanna Corral, 25, and Yessenia Corral, 18, also were not wearing seatbelts. Roxanna Corral suffered injuries to her pelvis and was taken to Utah Valley Medical Center, while Yessenia Corral was thrown from the vehicle but suffered no major injuries, according to UHP.

Janexis Corral, 7, was secured in a booster seat and did not suffer any obvious injuries, according to UHP.

All four had left the Layton area, returning to their home in Mesa, Ariz.

"It is probable that the proper use of seat belts could have prevented this tragic fatality," according to a UHP news release. Utah law requires everyone to wear a seat belt, at all times, whenever a vehicle is moving, the release adds.
