Get ready for triple digits, northern Utah.
After an already hot Sunday, with a high of 98, Salt Lake City is expected to reach at least 100 degrees on Monday. Ogden can expect 101 degrees, while Provo will see 102, according to the National Weather Service.
The heat is nothing new to Southern Utah, of course. St. George scorches in 109 degree-weather on Sunday, while dropping to a mere 105 degrees on Monday. The St. George area could see some showers and thunderstorms both days, according to the weather service.
If the heat is not enough to keep people inside, the air quality might be. Salt Lake, Utah, Davis, Weber and Tooele counties all sport only moderate air quality Sunday into Monday. Box Elder County's air will downgrade from healthy on Sunday to moderate on Monday, according to the Utah Division of Air Quality.
